TAKING CARE OF YOUR LEATHER TOTE
A leather bag is a classic staple in any fashionista's closet and an almost universally-loved item that requires taking care of.. You heard right, it's just like a kid. So we're going to be giving you some of the best tips we've gotten on how to care for your perfect little piece of heaven.
- WATER
First off, you have to know your skins, Saffiano leather is very water-resistant.. NOT WATERPROOF. I repeat, not waterproof. When you ocasionally get your bag wet, let it air as if you clean it with a rag or a towel it can permanently stain.
2. WEIGHT
You should be very careful about how much weight you carry in your purse. The thinner the straps and sowing, the more fragile your bag will be.
3. EXTRA CARE
Our totes are very easy to care for, all it takes to keep them in good condition is a brisk wipe down with a clean cloth everyday to get rid of dust build up and a regular rub with a damp cloth. To hydrate your leather and keep it from cracking, with a cotton pad and some moisturizer gently pat all over the tote. Michael Kors has specific cleaning products and they're really cheap and worth it if you usually get your bag dirtier than you should.. They retail for $9.95 and you can order them online here or get them at your local Kors store. We personally don't own the cleaner because we try to keep our bags as clean as possible when wearing them daily and it's little things like not setting them on the ground, trying not to expose them to direct sunlight and/or rain.
